Skiing in the Skiworld Ahrntal

You can choose from two skiing areas in the nearby Skiworld Ahrntal. From December to April the snow-sure skiing areas of Klausberg and Speikboden offer slopes and runs for all abilities, and can be reached quickly by car and ski bus (Klausberg in 2 minutes, Speikboden in 10 minutes). The ski bus stop for the valley station of Klausberg and Speikboden in Skiworld Ahrntal is in the immediate vicinity to Hotel Anabel: perfectly prepared slopes of all levels of difficulty, the enjoyment of mountain huts and professional ski schools, set against a breathtaking mountain backdrop, are awaiting you. If you are looking for even more variety, the Plan de Corones/Kronplatz ski area and other ski areas of the Dolomiti Superski can be reached by car in about 20 minutes.

Winter holiday in Val Pusteria/Pustertal

The Skiworld Ahrntal is a snow-white adventure playground. In addition, some of the most beautiful and idyllic cross-country ski runs in South Tyrol can be found in the neighbouring villages of Casere/Kasern, Rio Bianco/Weißenbach, and Riva di Tures/Rein in Taufera. Apart from fun on the slopes in Skiworld Ahrntal, quieter winter holidays in Valle Aurina/Ahrntal are also very popular. Snow-covered winter hiking trails and snowshoe hiking routes lead through the unique, romantic nature, and countless alpine huts are open in winter. It’s definitely worth a stop.

In Kasern, Weißenbach, Mühlwald and Rein in Taufers you can find the most beautiful, idyllic and snow-sure cross-country trails in the Alps. Anyone who loves nature and cannot do without sports is in the right place here. There is also a shooting range on the trail in Rein in Taufers, for all biathlon fans.

Snowshoeing

Those who like to hike in summer or just need a break from skiing will love snowshoeing! There is nothing more beautiful and relaxing than pulling your way through the glittering powder snow and watching the snowy nature.

Tobogganing

The toboggan run at Klausberg ends right in front of our door and at Speikboden, not far away, there is the longest toboggan run in Italy with a total length of 10 kilometers. Many alpine huts in the Ahrntal offer toboggan rental so that, after a leisurely hike and tasty refreshment, you can dash back into the valley.

Ski touring

The trend sport par excellence and the supreme discipline of alpine skiing, because everything is required here: endurance, willpower, technique and freeride. Once you have reached the top, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views and beautiful winter landscapes, which you cannot find on the slopes.

Ice climbing

An absolute must for all climbing fans, because: only those who have conquered the icy wall of a frozen waterfall can claim to be a master of the vertical. For all those who want to try it, local guides offer courses in all difficulties.

Ice skating & ice stock sport

There are several ice rinks in the Ahrntal - namely in Sand in Taufers, Kasern, Prettau, Luttach and Weißenbach. If a leisurely round on ice skates in the midst of snowy nature is not enough for you, you can get to know a traditional sport of the Ahrntal - ice stock sport - have a lot of fun and improve your accuracy at the same time!
